I’m A Celebrity icon Peter Andre recalls falling in love with Katie Price and making ‘jungle babies’-Pierra Willix-Entertainment – Metro

I’m A Celebrity has provided plenty of memorable moments over the years, but as former campmate Peter Andre puts it, he helped make the only ‘jungle babies’ to come out of the series.

All the way back in 2004, the singer entered the jungle and sparks soon started to fly with glamour model Katie Price, who was then known as Jordan.

While neither won the title, they fell in love in front of the country, and just a year after meeting, they married.

Ahead of the premiere of the latest season of the reality series this weekend, Peter appeared on This Morning with other ex-campmates Georgia Toffolo and Jake Quickenden and started reminiscing about his time in the Australian jungle.

‘They’re the only jungle babies. They’re the only ones to be born from the show I believe,’ he said after Alison Hammond asked him about falling in love while filming.

When the trio were quizzed on who they made the best friendships with in the camp, Peter added: ‘I mean I fell in love… it was an interesting time.’

In 2005 Peter and Katie married in a princess-themed wedding at the grand Highclere Castle, which later became the filming location for period drama Downton Abbey.

They had two children together, Junior and Princess, but divorced in 2009 after four years of marriage.

Last week, the teenagers told Metro.co.uk that they would love to follow in their parents footsteps one day.

Princess, 15, said she’d ‘100%’ love to appear on the show.

‘That’s something I really want to do,’ she added.

Junior, 17, agreed: ‘I think we have to do that. To represent,’ before adding: ‘We came from the jungle, didn’t we?’

‘It would actually be good to go on there, knowing both our parents were on there, that’s how they met,’ Princess added.

Junior went on: ‘And the show’s so amazing, it’s been going on for so long, so to be able to do that would actually be a very big achievement.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
