The internet has been blessed with a gift in the form of Mae Martin and Elliot Page attending a black tie Gala together.

Comedian Mae and Umbrella Academy actor Elliot, both 35, are heroes of the LGBT+community, and seeing the pair hit the red carpet together in smart suits has caused a serious stir amongst fans.

Elliot has been a household name for years, having shot to fame as a teenager thanks to his leading roles in films such as Juno and Hard Candy.

He came out as trans in 2020, at the height of the success of Gerard Way’s series Umbrella Academy, with Elliot’s character since changed to accommodate his transition.

Mae, meanwhile, is best-known for Netflix series Feel Good, of which they are the creator, writer and lead star alongside Charlotte Richie. They are non-binary and use both they and she pronouns.

The pair are close friends, both hailing from Canada and being involved in showbusiness, and last year even got matching friendship tattoos.

Now they’ve hit the red carpet – or in this case, purple carpet – for a seriously glam night out at the Lacma Art and Film Gala in Los Angeles.

Both stars looked incredible as they posed for cameras separately and together, Elliot in a sharp black tuxedo and bowtie, Mae in a dark suit with an open collar.

Flight Attendant tar Mae took to Instagram to share some photos of their night out, referring to Elliot as ‘My king’ alongside the series of snaps which saw the actors take selfies in a mirror and pose on the carpet.

‘My King @elliotpage took me out,’ they wrote, going on to thank Gucci for their suit and Lacma for the ‘stunning night,’ adding the hashtag t4t – trans for trans.

Elliot, too, shared snaps from the event to Instagram, thanking sponsors Gucci for inviting him and his guest along.

Needless to say, fans went wild for the photos – as did celebrity pals of the actors, with pop icon Halsey writing: ‘Cannot handle this pic.’

The Good Place star Jameela Jamil said: ‘Oh my god so hot,’ while model and podcaster Munroe Bergdorf described it as ‘TOO MUCH.’

Elliot and Mae were far from the only stars at the prestigious annual event, with the Gala packed to the brim with the likes of the Kardashian and Paris Hilton.

Kim, 42, was seen gracing the red carpet in a skin-tight black dress, accompanied by younger sister Kendall, 27, who left little to the imagination in a black mesh fress with strategically placed fabric patches.
