Damage hero Torbjörn might be on his way out from Overwatch 2 again, as Blizzard reveal the latest player numbers.

All games tend to face a few bugs and glitches in the first weeks after launch, but Overwatch 2 seems to have had a particular problem with them.

The game was also affected by two DDoS attacks at launch, which made things even worse for players, who had to queue for hours until getting into a match.

On top of that, characters Torbjörn and Bastion had to be disabled because of bugs in their ability kits, which suddenly made them overpowered.

Damage hero Mei followed shortly after, for similar reasons, as an exploit in her abilities allowed players to get an unfair advantage.

Now, yet another bug has hit the game, which could result in Torbjörn being kicked out from the Overwatch 2 roster once again, at least until it gets fixed.

This time it affects the turret he deploys, which is already quite powerful as it automatically tracks and attacks enemies, dealing four rounds per second.

After getting killed by an enemy squad’s Torbjörn, a Reddit user discovered the exploit in his turret ability, as he saw the turret was somehow placed underneath the map.

This led to the enemy squad’s player not only ambushing others, as he remained hidden, but also making the turret indestructible.

Some players suggested that the developers should delete Torbjörn’s turret to solve the problem, which would mean a drastic change to the hero’s abilities.

Other players pointed out that the glitches could be related to the map and not necessarily have anything to do with Torbjörn himself.

Seeing that the glitch that affected Mei’s Ice Wall ability also allowed players to teleport inside the walls of a building, the problem could indicate an error in the game’s maps.

For the time being, Mei will remain disabled until the game’s next patch update, which is set to go live on Tuesday, November 15.

However, if developers decide to remove Torbjörn from Overwatch 2’s roster, he might not return until a later update in December.

As there are 35 (soon to be 36) playable characters in Overwatch 2, you won’t be left short of choice… unless you main the Swedish weapons designer.

So far, it seems like bugs and glitches haven’t put off players, as over 35 million people played the game in its first month, according to Activision – including many who were new to Overwatch.

Still, the game’s battle pass and monetisation system could pose a problem in the future, as players haven’t shied away from labelling these aspects of the new free-to-play model as being exploitative.
