Glow Up series 3 star Nic became the first make-up artist to be eliminated in scenes that aired tonight.

The Disco Dust business owner lost the Face Off to co-star Samah, with the 10 contestants becoming nine.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk following her exit, Nic said she found it hard to process her whirlwind time on the show during the pandemic as it all happened so fast – and being scammed out of all her money probably didn’t help.

She also shared the ‘sweet’ gesture presenter Maya Jama made before her last challenge.

‘I think at first it felt really surreal,’ Nic recalled. ‘I think I was so exhausted and felt so many emotions. It definitely took a few weeks to process everything and it was quite hard to be honest, especially during Covid as nothing else was going on.

‘I feel like it was all I had to think about as I wasn’t back to work or anything.

‘It was very much two weeks of build-up and getting nervous and then a crazy two days of being like, “Oh my God, I love these people so much!” and then “oh my God I’m back at home, how did that happen?”‘

The current series of Glow Up was filmed in January during the Covid-19 crisis with strict filming guidelines in place.

‘We had to be chaperoned to the bathroom and we had to be quarantined for two weeks in an apartment,’ Nic revealed, adding that she had no idea who the other contestants were but knew they were all in the same building.

Nic’s time on the show came to an end after judges Val Garland and Dominic Skinner put her in the Face Off against Samah, challenging them both to do their best clumpy lash.

‘Maya [Jammer] came and sat with me,’ Nic said, reflecting on what happened just before the task. ‘Bless her that was really sweet.’

Although her clumpy lash technique let her down, Nic hasn’t been defeated.

‘I did a shoot with the Glow Up lot for Disco Dust and I did a clumpy lash on Samah,’ she shared.

Glow Up airs Tuesdays at 7pm on BBC iPlayer.
