Sylvester Stallone has shared a sweet message for his wife, Jennifer Flavin, at the premiere for his new show Tulsa after the pair reconciled.

The actor, 76, and Jennifer, 54, split earlier this year, with his wife of 25 years announcing in August she had filed for divorce.

However, last month saw the couple rekindle their romance, with the Hollywood legend paying tribute to his wife at the event in New York City.

‘I’m so happy that my kids are seeing me still upright and working, thank you very much, my incredible wife who makes all the right decisions while I make the wrong ones,’ he said.

Sylvester also paid tribute to the cast and crew of Tulsa.

‘It’s a really, really great team, the actors work, tough as can be, we work under incredibly harsh conditions but everyone kept their spirits up and delivered their full blown talent. I’m actually amazed how quickly this came about and here we are in a theatre,’ he added.

The couple celebrated the Paramount series at the premiere, as they shared the carpet with their daughters Sophia and Sistine, as well as the rest of the cast.

Jennifer previously announced her split from her husband with a statement reading: ‘While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters.’

Rambo star Sylvester later issued his own statement, which read: ‘I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.’

It was speculated at the time that part of the reason for their separation was Sylvester’s new dog, rottweiler Dwight, though Sly denied this.

The action legend had reportedly got the dog against Jennifer’s wishes, as she had worried they had too many pets already.

Sylvester later covered up a tattoo of Jennifer on his arm with a portrait of the dog, which – naturally – is said to have left his wife unhappy.

However, a rep confirmed to Page Six that Sylvester and Jennifer had begun speaking and ‘were able to work out their differences,’ adding they are ‘both extremely happy.’

The couple share three daughters together, Sophia, 26, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20.
