Seann Walsh must be ‘happiest man in the world’ as Matt Hancock is ‘vilified’ instead of him on I’m A Celebrity, says Lorraine Kelly-Louise Griffin-Entertainment – Metro

Lorraine Kelly has suggested that Seann Walsh will be counting his lucky stars that he entered the I’m A Celebrity jungle alongside Matt Hancock – as the health minister will be ‘vilified’ instead of him.

The former health minister sparked outrage with his entrance into the jungle, with some viewers calling for him to be axed, and Boy George considering leaving the show.

Causing a strong public reaction is not something comedian Seann is a stranger to, after he snogged his Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Jones in 2018, cheating on his girlfriend at the time in a very public scandal.

However, compared to Mr Hancock, the reaction to Seann’s stint in the jungle has been understandably quite tame.

Lorraine pointed out of Mr Hancock’s arrival ‘It was all a bit awkward, wasn’t it? It was amusing in a weird way but he’s very keen to please isn’t he?’

She added of Seann: ‘He must be the happiest man in the world, because he would have been vilified otherwise but now he’s just kind of giggling.’

However, Seann didn’t get away scot-free on the show, with Ant and Dec referencing the scandal and joking: ‘We all know what happened the last time Seann was paired up with someone on a reality show.

‘Let’s hope he doesn’t try and get off with Matt Hancock.’

Seann was left in stitches after Mr Hancock’s arrival in the jungle, and warned his co-star that he didn’t think the other campmates would be his biggest fan.

The comedian hit headlines in 2018 when he was seen kissing his dance partner Katya outside a pub while he was in a relationship with Rebecca Humphries and she was married to Neil Jones.

A few days later Rebecca released a statement on social media, revealing that the night that Sean cheated, she was sitting ‘alone at home’ on her birthday.

‘We spoke and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on,’ she added.

She also went on to accuse him of ‘inappropriate, hurtful behaviour’, but added that she was now ‘free’.

While both Seann and Katya issued public apologies about what they both referred to as a ‘one-off drunken mistake’, Seann didn’t mention his partner.

While Katya and Neil initially stayed together after the kiss scandal, 10 months later, they confirmed that they had split after seven years of marriage.
