Christmas might be a magical time, but will the festive season see romance blossom for the Married At First Sight UK reunion participants, or will it just be drama, drama, drama?

Ahead of the Christmas special, E4 has now announced which Brides and Grooms will be returning to our screens.

Alexis Economou, Amy Christophers and Nikita Jasmine are among the stars from the 2021 series, while couple Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson, Chanita Stephenson, Jordan Emmett-Connelly, Pjay Finch, Duka Cavolli, Adrian Sanderson, Thomas Hartley, and Johnathan Wileman will be representing this year’s show.

While some found love in the experiment, others did not, so what better time to catch up with them all and see what’s been happening since they were on the show.

It wouldn’t be a reality dating series without some opportunities for new connections to be made, so there’s a chance sparks may be flying as we watch on during the festivities.

As Channel 4 has teased, the stars will be reunited inside the halls of a swanky country hideaway that has been transformed into a winter wonderland.

The ghosts of Christmas past and present (also known as their ex’s) might come back to haunt some of them, but there’s also the chance of new friendships forming and budding romances blooming under the mistletoe.

This week Married at First Sight was revealed to be Channel 4’s most successful show of 2022.

The latest season saw Matt Murray ditching his wife Gemma Rose to pursue Whitney Hughes, and Jordan Emmett Connelly breaking things off with Chanita Stephenson at the last minute.

While only Jenna and Zoe left the experiment together, the show hooked in audiences, with a huge 51.7million views on All 4’s streaming platform, making it the network’s biggest hit in 2022.

But soon after the latest season screened, several participants ruled out being part of the Christmas special, with Gemma and Matt saying that they would not be taking part.

Matt said he had been left ‘traumatised’ by being on the show.

The Married At First Sight Christmas Special will air on E4 next month.
