Pierce Brosnan has melted our hearts with some adorable photos of his fourth grandchild.

The James Bond legend has become a grandfather for the fourth time after his son Sean welcomed his second child, a boy called Jaxxon Elijah Brosnan, with wife Sanja Banic last weekend.

In a sweet Instagram post, Pierce shared two close-up photos of the newborn, and paid tribute to his son, daughter-in-law and their seven-year-old girl Marley May.

‘Jaxxon Elijah Brosnan, born 3:06pm 11/12/22,’ he wrote. ‘All good blessings to you my dearest grandson, welcome. Congratulations my darling Sean, Sanja and Marley. Peace be with you’.

His followers were quick to send well wishes, and singer Imelda May offered her congratulations with a message to the family and their new arrival.

‘Congratulations to all!!!! Welcome to the world little one,’ she wrote, while one fan just couldn’t resist referencing Pierce’s iconic big screen role as they teased: ‘I hope he’ll follow your footsteps to be a future James Bond’.

The Hollywood veteran, 69, also has two older grandchildren, Isabella and Lucas, through his late daughter Charlotte, who died from ovarian cancer in 2013.

He is a father to 50-year-old Christopher with late wife Cassandra Smith, who also died from ovarian cancer in 1991, while he remarried in 2001 to Keely Shaye Smith, with whom he has sons Dylan, 25, and Paris, 21.

Meanwhile, the Black Adam actor has been open about the pride he feels as a grandparent, and it’s made him realise how ‘precious’ life is.

‘I’m a proud grandfather now. There’s still a lot of life in the old man, and I’ll keep going till I can go no more. Life is so precious,’ he told The Herald back in 2015.

‘It can be snatched away without any prior warning, so why waste it? That’s why I enjoy my wonderful, beautiful family, my children and my grandchildren.’
