I’m a ‘cool professor’ – students love my outfits, no-one would guess my clothes come from Shein and Target

DRESSING to impress college students is tricky, but one professor pulls it off without breaking her budget.

Sharing her fall wardrobe haul, the stylish teacher revealed which outfits receive compliments from her most sartorially-intelligent students.

Lauren Lawson isn’t just a professor: she’s a “cool professor,” according to her TikTok bio.

To preserve her status, the stylish educator invested in a new wardrobe for fall and debuted it to her followers in a pair of videos.

Lawson updated her fall wardrobe with a collection of basics she could mix and match, starting with a pair of straight-leg jeans from Old Navy, $49.99.

“These ones don’t have any rips or holes, but they do have a little fraying at the end,” said Lawson, holding up the raw hems.

The silhouette and edgy details kept the denim from looking too stuffy. “It keeps them on-trend, but still looking business casual,” she explained.

But if you need a more polished look, head to Target, she suggested.

“More professional are these leather pants that are like a cream color,” Lawson said, holding up a pair of pale chinos, $28.

“Leather is so on-trend, and so are beige and brown colors,” she added.

Lawson would likely pair her new pants with bodysuits from Abercrombie – a much-beloved staple brand for the youth set.

She bought two white bodysuits: a long-sleeve style, $70, for cool fall and winter weather, and a tank top for layering, priced at $69 for a two-pack.

Though she chose different sleeve lengths for each bodysuit, she kept a vital part of the silhouettes the same.

“Square necklines are so in right now,” Lawson said.

The tank top bodysuit would be a perfect match for a beige floral sweater she bought at her local TJ Maxx.

The patterned cardigan fell within her “all-neutral” wardrobe guidelines while still adding a funky design.

Finally, Lawson modeled an outfit assembled from two of her best discount finds: a white Shein dress, $21, and brown Target boots, $39.99.

Lawson said the white dress was an especially savvy investment because it acted as a transitional piece.

In fall, it looked classy with the tall boots, but come spring and summer, she could pair it with sandals for a laid-back warm-weather look.
