Former WWE Superstar EC3 Hospitalized due to Unknown Infection

Former WWE superstar EC3 provided his fans with a grim update about his health. The former NXT superstar underwent treatment for an untreated infection that landed him in the hospital. He uploaded an inspiring post on his Instagram, which received a lot of attention.

EC3 hospitalized for untreated infection

EC3 was hospitalized for an untreated infection for five days, and he will remain under medical care for a while. While remaining in character, he posted a picture of him in a hospital bed with a cryptic caption.

“That’s not strictly just an attention-grabbing headline. It’s more of an update. ⁣ Short version; an infection I neglected proper care for, put others people’s needs before mind, went straight empath, caught up to me and broke me.⁣”

He also wrote that he wishes to be left alone, and that will help him recover sooner from his infection. “Long version; it’s extensive, I’ve been hospitalized 5 days and we’ll need longer. Anyways I will heal, if you want to help drop a comment or a thought or affirmation.⁣ Please do no not text. PLEASE. All I ask. If you want to help, let me be alone.”

He topped off the post with a set of odd and cryptic hashtags, one of which read ‘don’t text, I mean it, and don’t hunt me down’. Another read ‘let me sleep’, while ‘Free EC3’ featured a couple of times.

Many faces from the wrestling industry and EC3’s friends left kind comments for the superstar. These include Chris Van Vliet, Noelle Foley, Tyrus [Brodus Clay], Jessika Carr, Jinder Mahal, Tom Lawlor, Brian Cage, Matt Cardona, Gurv Sihra, Enzo Amore, Dexter Lumis, Natalya, Kyle O’Reilly, Heath Slater, Sonny Kiss, Chelsea Green, Tanga Loa, Karrion Kross, Byron Saxton, Keith Lee and Renee Paquette.

Where is the former WWE superstar wrestling?

After his untimely WWE release for the second time, EC3 ended up taking a hiatus from wrestling. Three months after his release, he showed up at IMPACT Wrestling’s Slammiversary PPV. He challenged Moose for the retired TNA World Heavyweight Championship, but lost at Bound for Glory.

EC3then landed in Ring of Honor where he teamed up with the Briscoes against ROH Television Champion Shane Taylor and the Soldiers of Savagery. He unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19 in December, but returned to television in March. In his last match, he faced Jay Briscoe in a terrific match at ROH’s 19th Anniversary Show.
