Dave Bautista is back at Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and he’s in ridiculous shape.

The WWE legend turned superstar actor – known to wrestling fans as Batista, without the U – is reprising his role in what looks to be the final Guardians film for a long time as James Gunn prepares to leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans are already excited for the third movie in the trilogy to hit the big screen in May 2023 after the trailer was revealed over the weekend, and Big Dave has given fans another reason to be hyped.

The hulking heavyweight shared a behind the scenes snap on Instagram with his Drax makeup on his face, showing off his muscles in a black vest top.

‘#BTS gettin a workout in during @guardiansofthegalaxy vol. 3 💪🏽,’ he wrote, adding a hashtag for the movie and his character, as well as #WeAreGroot and #DreamChaser.

‘DRAX IS JACKED,’ replied one enthusiastic follower, while another added: ‘Dedicated D!’

Others replied suggesting he’d be perfect to take on the role of Kratos in a God of War adaptation, with one fan commenting: ‘If a God of War movie is made I hope you get cast as Kratos’

Meanwhile, a different follower called on the former WWE Champion to return to his wrestling roots to face current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for the gold.

‘Big Dave, WWE needs you to dethrone The Head of the Table,’ they wrote.

Although Batista has long been clear he is fully retired when it comes to his in-ring career, Roman could face a tough challenge from Hollywood amid reports his own cousin Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will be back for WrestleMania 39 in April 2023.

‘I love the idea of a WrestleMania. I’m close to a lot of people there, but I’m very close to one in particular, who we’ve talked about this. There are so many variables that come into play,’ he previously told E! News’ The Rundown.
