Keke Palmer delivers classy response to trolls after being called ‘ugly’ without make-up: ‘Y’all need help’-Alicia Adejobi-Entertainment – Metro

Keke Palmer has proven to be the epitome of beauty after issuing a classy clap back to trolls who called her ‘ugly’. 

The Nope actress is on cloud nine after surprising fans with the news that she is pregnant with her first child, by revealing her baby bump on Saturday Night Live last weekend. 

However, there are apparently some trying to steal her joy by tearing down her looks. 

Fortunately, Keke, 29, wasn’t about to let anyone dampen her shine as she brilliantly schooled them on being kind. 

She tweeted on Tuesday: ‘I just saw a few comments of ppl saying I was ugly cause I wasn’t wearing any makeup. And I really want y’all to get the help y’all need because makeup isn’t real. 

‘I’m beautiful in real life, because of who I am, not what I look like.’

Keke continued with all the confident sass: ‘I wish I could bottle how I feel about myself and sell it. Because some people take comments to heart and these ppl just say anything. I mean truly it’s insane to say anyone is ugly, but especially me.’ 

The former Nickelodeon star was showered with support from her fans and celebrity followers, with Niecey Nash commenting: ‘Girl let auntie tell you this: hating people ain’t happy. And happy people ain’t hating! Mmmkay #youcuteeitherway.’ 

Another added: ‘This is why you are a real beauty.’ 

A friend of Keke’s weighed in: ‘Having met and rocked with you in person, can attest to you being beautiful inside, but let’s be clear, you’re also gorgeous on the outside as well! Tuh!’

Keke announced she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Darius Jackson while guest hosting the latest episode of SNL. 

During her opening monologue, she said: ‘There’s some rumours going around. People have been in my comments saying, “Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant”, and I wanna set the record straight.’

Ripping open her blazer to reveal her baby bump, she delightedly declared: ‘I am!’ 

She went on: ‘I gotta say, it’s bad when people on the internet spread rumours about you, y’all, but it’s even worse when they’re correct! I mean, I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low because I’ve got a lot of stuff going on.

‘People kept coming up to me going, “Congratulations,” I’m like, “Shh, can y’all stop?! I’ve got a liquor sponsorship on the line. Let the cheque clear then we can get to the damn baby shower!”

‘But honestly, this has been the biggest blessing and I am so excited guys, I’m gonna be a mum! Even though some people feel a little weird about me having a baby because I was a child actor, I just wanna say look, I’m 29, I’m grown, I have sex, I own a home, I stormed the Capitol on January 6, you know, things adults do!

‘I’m kidding, y’all know I’m the same person I’ve always been and I’m proud of that. Matter of fact, when I first got into comedy and I dreamed of standing on this stage, I asked myself, “Keke, who will you be? Will you be like a Maya Rudoloh? Eddie Murphy? A Kristen Wiig type?”

‘And now that I’m here, I can tell you exactly who I am. Baby, I’m Keke Palmer.’

Keke went public with her relationship with Darius in August 2021 after meeting through his brother, Insecure star Sarunas Jackson. However, the couple have largely kept their romance away from the spotlight.
