Maura Higgins was put in her place by Lady Victoria Hervey who claimed the star’s accusations against fashion designer Scott Henshall were untrue.

The Love Island alumnus pulled out of the British Fashion Awards on Monday after her custom made dress was ‘not very appropriate’ to wear on the red carpet.

She has since revealed her agitation at fashion designers for worsening her night with long wait times and missing shoes.

Maura was upset with designer Scott Henshall after he allegedly ditched her for Lady Victoria Hervey and ‘left her alone for over three hours’ ahead of the event – which the latter slammed as false claims.

The 46-year-old, who was also dressed by the famous designer on the night, told MailOnline: ‘What Maura is saying is not true at all.

‘Scott didn’t ignore her. Maura had her own glam team in her room and what I heard is that she liked the dress but Scott’s PR, who was in charge of bringing her shoes, brought her ones she didn’t like.

‘Scott was mad because he did not like the ones the PR chose.

‘It’s absolutely not true to say that Scott left Maura for three hours.’

She continued: ‘He is a professional and the weakness is unfortunately in his PR team. Maura wanted to get her own makeup and hair team in her room.’

It was also previously reported the star, 32, was unimpressed by the brand Mulberry’s former creative director, 47, after he failed to deliver on the promise to ‘arrange a selection of shoes for her to wear’.

Following the supposed incident, a source told The Sun: ‘Scott was dressing Maura, Victoria and model Talulah Eve.

‘Maura’s gown was meant to resemble Paris Hilton’s chainmail dress from 2002. Ultimately, it looked nothing like it and she wasn’t happy.

‘Scott was also supposed to arrange a selection of shoes for her to wear, which he didn’t do. He then left Maura waiting in her room alone for over three hours to go to help dress Victoria.’

Due to share a room with fashion’s most loved faces, the reality star ‘decided not to go’ minutes before she was booked to walk the red carpet.

Her decision to stay home on the night of the glamorous awards was due to her not feeling comfortable in her chosen outfit for the evening.
