Robbie Williams played a secret gig for the England squad to get them hyped ahead of their World Cup clash with France.
The Three Lions will fight to keep their spot in the World Cup on Saturday
after a seriously impressive run in Qatar so far.
Eager to keep things running smoothly and perhaps put a stop to any nerves ahead of the important quarter-final match, manager Gareth Southgate arranged for a surprise visitor to ‘entertain’ them this week after training.
As reported by the Daily Telegraph, Rock DJ legend Robbie gave a special performance to the team after their training on Wednesday night.
The musician seemingly played several hits at the Souq Al Wakra base that evening, days ahead of the all-important clash with France.
Let Me Entertain You hitmaker Robbie previously confirmed he would play in Qatar despite the country’s human rights abuses and harsh laws against LGBTQ+ rights.

Robbie, 48, will perform at Doha Golf Club in Qatar as, he said, if he refused to play anywhere with human rights abuses he wouldn’t even be allowed to perform ‘in my own kitchen.’
He said at the time: “‘Of course, I don’t condone any abuses of human rights anywhere.
‘That being said, if we’re not condoning human rights abuses anywhere,
then it would be the shortest tour the world has ever known. I wouldn’t
even be able to perform in my own kitchen.
Robbie defended his decision to perform in Qatar saying he would be a ‘hypocrite’ not to (Picture: Getty Images)
‘Anybody leaving messages saying ‘no to Qatar’ are doing so on Chinese
technology,’ he went on.
‘It would be hypocritical of me to not go [to Qatar] because of the places that I do go to.
‘I think that the hypocrisy there is that if we take that case in this place, we need to apply that unilaterally to the world… Then if we apply that unilaterally to the world, nobody can go anywhere.’

Robbie’s two cents on the situation came after pop icon Dua Lipa stated she would not be performing at the World Cup due to its human rights record, and as David Beckham faced backlash for striking a deal with the country despite its anti-LGBTQ+ stance.
Sir Rod Stewart recently shared too that he was offered $1million last year to play in Qatar, but turned it down as it ‘didn’t feel right’.
