I’m midsize and went wedding dress shopping – it was a total circus, shops need to do better for curvy girls

Some brides are even prepared to spend a fortune on their wedding dress so they look perfect on their big day.
For one bride-to-be the experience was not as happy as she thought it would be.
Alison shared her experience of trying on dresses that didn’t have her size in samples.
Alison is only a size 12-14.
In a video shared online.
She said: “The circus of trying on wedding dresses when you are not sample size.”
Alison said: “The realisation I won’t be able to try anything on in my size.”
She said: “Being told ‘sorry you’re not even that big.”
After another try on she said: “Broke this zip.”

For most dresses they wouldn’t zip up on Alison.
She said: “Quite liking a dress…but then being pinned in with a weird scrap of fabric so you don’t break another zip.”
It was not a positive experience.
She said: “RIP my confidence.”

She said: “This is how far I could bend in this one, weird scrap of fabric out of shot.”
Alison continues: “Detachable sleeves removed and joined together to make one massive sleeve for one arm instead of two.”
Alison wrote in the caption of her video: “ True story. We can laugh about it now but this experience really did a number on me.”
