Bobby Lashley has been ‘fired’ after an altercation with two referees and WWE official Adam Pearce.

The All Mighty has been sacked as part of an intriguing storyline on Monday Night Raw after he lost in a high stakes main event which saw Seth Rollins beat him to become Number One Contender to the Austin Theory’s United States Championship.

The ending came as the Visionary reversed Lashley’s spear into a Pedigree, but there was more drama to come as former world champion argued with two referees.

He first pushed the pair of officials to the ground in anger, before Adam Pearce rushed to ringside to try and calm him down.

Pearce pointed out that after a similarly angry display last week, he warned Lashley he’d have to take some action as he tried to calm the hulking heavyweight down.

However, the superstar responded by shoving his on-screen boss, which led to an irate Pearce swearing at the wrestler before telling him he’s ‘fired’.

Raw went off air with Lashley looking stunned, and in a backstage interview he refused to comment when approached by Byron Saxton.

Meanwhile, Pearce simply told the backstage reporter that he saw what happened, and reiterated he has fired Lashley.

There is no word on how long the All Mighty will be kept off screen as part of this development, which adds a fascinating layer of intrigue to the red brand’s storylines with less than seven weeks to go until the Royal Rumble.

As it stands, Lashley is still listed on the Raw roster on WWE.com rather than the alumni section.

Elsewhere on Raw, Asuka sprayed Dominik Mysterio with the mist during her match against Rhea Ripley, while Alexa Bliss won a Number One Contender’s match against Bayley before seemingly getting possessed by Bray Wyatt.

She went to attack Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair with a Sister Abigail, teasing a descent into the darkness before coming to her senses.

WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
