WWE superstar Mia Yim appears to have deactivated her Twitter account after a torrent of abuse from trolls on social media.
The 33-year-old wrestler had fired back at fans suggesting her husband, AEW’s Keith Lee, might not be happy with a perfectly innocent photo of herself with co-star Austin Theory.
The picture, which was included in an outtakes gallery on WWE.com, simply shows Austin and Mia posing together as he holds her up, but some people tried to make it into something more.
She addressed the comments after this week’s episode of Raw, reminding the trolls that it’s possible for ‘men and women’ to be pals without wanting to sleep with each other. Shock.
‘Ok, block button ready to go. Apparently I can’t take pics or get excited about seeing people I haven’t seen in a while,’ she said, as if the picture needed an explanation.
She continued: ‘I love my husband and only have eyes for him. Apologies for any disrespect. Men and women can be friends without it being sexual.’

Now, it appears Mia has left the social media site – hopefully only temporarily – and when visiting her page, it now appears blank with the message: ‘This account doesn’t exist. Try searching for another.’
Many of Mia’s fans have flooded Twitter with messages of support after she has been forced to step back amid the abuse from trolls.

One more levelheaded Twitter user wrote: ‘The fact how people made Mia Yim deactivated her Twitter over the picture with Austin Theory is ridiculous. Do people seriously think that just because she’s married she’s not allowed to take photos with her friends that are men?’
Mia recently returned to WWE after she and husband Keith was both released by the company in November 2021, and while he signed with All Elite Wrestling earlier in the year, she instead made her IMPACT comeback over the summer, before later rejoining WWE.
Explaining the decision not to follow her beau to AEW, she exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘Ever since we started dating, it was like, “I never wanted to take his moves”, we never wanted to be a tag team, we wanted to be our own separate brands.
‘Sometimes we’ll do mixed tags or whatever and do things together, but we didn’t wanna be known just for that. We established very early on that we were own brand, we didn’t have to always stay together.
‘I always get asked, “Why didn’t you go with Keith?” It’s like, because I’m my own person and I wanna do what I wanna do, you know? [laughs] So, as long as we support each other with whatever it is, we don’t always have to be together!’
