Strictly Come Dancing fans have pointed out Gorka Márquez’s awkward reaction to Hamza Yassin being crowned champion of the 2022 series.
The professional dancer was paired with Helen Skelton in the BBC’s juggernaut programme, competing against the wildlife filmmaker, 32, Fleur East and Molly Rainford in Saturday’s final.
Gorka and the former Blue Peter presenter, 32, performed three routines in the intense competition, including a show dance to Shine by Emeli Sande.
The duo also scored their first perfect score of 40 points for their couple’s choice to Mein Herr by Liza Minnelli from Cabaret after receiving standing ovations from judges Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse.
But despite their epic performances, the public voted Hamza and his dance partner Jowita Przystal as winners of Strictly, with the camera operator bursting into tears on hearing the news.
‘Words can’t describe how I feel,’ he shared, before turning to Jowita and saying: ‘You are an angel disguised as a human being. You’re amazing.’
However, viewers have remarked that Gorka looked a little less than thrilled for losing out on the big prize, with one describing his reaction as ‘awkward’.
Gorka, who is in a relationship with Gemma Atkinson, looked very Stoney-faced and did not crack a smile when Hamza took home the gong.
‘Gorka didn’t look happy with the result,’ a Strictly fan remarked, while another said: ‘Gorka is fuming and it’s uncomfortable lol.’

Many others remarked on Gorka looking angry as they suggested he was ‘struggling to hide his disappointment.’
A viewer added: ‘Helen and Gorka look so salty and i’m absolutely here for it. Be happy and supportive of the people you’ve been with for three months, Molly, Carlos, Vito and Fleur all moon so over the moon for them! 🥸🥸#strictly #scd #strictly2022.’
After addressing the nation, Fleur and Vito Coppola and Molly and Carlos Gu rushed over to congratulate Hamza, with Gorka remaining still.

Helen, however, then tapped him on the shoulder and took him by the hand as they went over to hug the Strictly winner.
The Spanish dancer joined the beloved show in 2016 and has reached the final twice before with The X Factor winner Alexandra Burke and EastEnders actress Maisie Smith.
