Super Sized Salon star Jamie Lopez has died aged 37, her salon has confirmed.

The television personality and Babydoll Beauty Couture founder died in Las Vegas over the weekend, with TMZ claiming heart complications were the cause of her death.

‘On behalf of the Babydoll Beauty Couture team, we regretfully announce, with great pain, the passing of The Founder & Owner of Babydoll Beauty Couture, The Legendary Jamie Lopez,’ the business said in a statement posted on Instagram.

‘We ask, on behalf of the Babydoll family, that you allow us time to process this tremendous loss.

‘Further details and arrangements will be announced soon.’

The statement continued: ‘We have suffered an extraordinary loss and appreciate the time and space to grieve in peace. Please keep our Babydoll family & team lifted in your hearts and prayers.

‘We’d like to thank the staff & crew of @metadorcontent & @wetv for all their continuous support in this difficult time.’

Tributes have been pouring in following the news of Lopez’s death, with many fans paying their respects on her last Instagram post.

One fan said: ‘RIP Queen Jamie. We love you and are all very saddened by your passing.’

Echoing a similar sentiment, another penned: ‘I’m so sad to hear this! I loved watching your journey. Such a beautiful soul. RIP beautiful.’

Super Sized Salon, which began airing earlier this year, followed Lopez as she created a unique space for plus-sized people to come and look and feel beautiful.

Her enterprise was born after facing ridicule for breaking a chair at a regular hairdresser.
