Kansas City Chiefs Trading First-Round Pick in Exchange for Ravens OT Orlando Brown
Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs endured a roller-coaster of a season in 2020. The 2018 NFL MVP led the Chiefs to their second consecutive Super Bowl. They won the AFC West with a 14-2 record. However, Tom Brady and his band of pirates had different plans.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers successfully outplayed the Chiefs by a 31-9 record to life the Super Bowl LV trophy. Mahomes and Co. were thoroughly outplayed, on both offense and defense. This was their worst loss in the last two years.
Coach Reid and his boys vowed to come back with a vengeance in 2021. They’ve made some big changes to their offensive line. GM Brett Veach brought in G Joe Thuney, G Joe Long, and C Austin Blythe this summer. Now they’ve brought another important piece of the puzzle in the form Baltimore Ravens OT Orlando Brown.

NFL insider Adam Schefter was the latest to confirm that Kansas City Chiefs are indeed interested in Orlando Brown. They’ve been looking for a left offensive tackle for the last couple of months. In Brown, they have acquired a top player with massive potential and proven experience.
The Chiefs gave up their 2021 first-round pick (No. 31 overall), a third-rounder (94), fourth-round pick (136), and a 2022 fifth-round selection in exchange for Brown and a 2021 second-round pick (No. 58) and a 2022 sixth-round pick.
Both teams involved announced the trade deal. However, no official figures have been made public yet. Orlando has been a mainstay in the Ravens offensive line since joining the league in 2018. The former third-round pick started 42 games in his career at both right and left tackle.
The Chiefs parted ways with experienced offensive linemen, Mitchell Schwartz and Eric Fisher, due to injury and cap reasons this offseason. If Brown starts at left tackle, the hole on the right side could be filled by Chiefs 2020 third-round pick Lucas Niang,
