I did a vintage bikini haul – the 70s top showed a lot of underboob, I’m not sure if it’s deliberate
A FASHIONISTA has brought home some retro swimwear, but she became confused after trying the pieces on.
She modeled a perplexing ’70s top, a low-cut ’80s bottom and a fringe one-piece that didn’t fit quite the way she expected.

She wasn’t sure about the amount of ‘underboob’ the 70s bikini revealedTikTok
On her TikTok page, influencer Lily Chapman posts clothing hauls, lifestyle content and beauty tutorials.
In a recent video, she tried on a haul of vintage swimsuits, including throwback bikinis from the ’70s and ’80s.
First on her list was an animal-print two-piece with a halter neck top and adorable side ties on the bottom.
“This one was listed on eBay as late ’70s,” she said, posing in the playful-patterned swimwear.
“The fit is something,” Chapman said, yanking at the top.
Part of her breasts were spilling out the bottom of the cups, and she couldn’t tell if the look was intentional.
“I don’t know what I would need to do to make this fit,” Chapman mused, wondering aloud if the swimsuit was “supposed to have some underboob.”
Besides the bizarre fit of the top, she found the bikini extremely easy to wear.
“It’s very low-waisted but it’s very comfortable, it’s got a lot of stretch,” she said.
The next piece of ’70s swimwear took Chapman by surprise.

The long fringe hung all the way down to her waistTikTok
“I actually like this one a lot more than I thought I was going to,” she said, standing back to show off the coral one-piece.
She shimmied a little to show off the fun smattering of fringe that started along her neckline and skimmed all the way down to her waist.
“I love the fringe,” Chapman confirmed. While it didn’t fit her as well as the bikini, it was versatile.
“It doesn’t have any bra support, which is interesting,” she explained. “It’s a little bit too big for me in the middle.”
However, Chapman added: “It looks good worn off the shoulder.”
She slid the straps down her arms to demonstrate the alternative styling method.
Chapman guessed the color block bikini would be everyone’s favoriteTikTok
Grinning in a color-blocked two-piece with a tabbed button on the front, Chapman guessed what her followers would say.
“I already know this is going to be people’s favorite,” she said. “I love this one.”
The purple, blue and orange swimsuit evoked ’80s workout wear.
It looked stellar, and Chapman could confirm it felt great too.
“The fit is perfect, it’s super stretchy,” she said happily.
The final bikini was edgy, but not Chapman’s styleTikTok
Her last swimsuit was a racier pick, with snake print fabric and a strappy, low-slung bottom.
“This is another early ’80s one,” Chapman said, tugging the bottoms up on her hips.
Even though the glam bikini looked like something from a hair metal music video, Chapman didn’t plan to keep it.
“It’s so cool. It’s very unique,” she admitted, “but not my style.”
