*Warning spoilers ahead for Emily In Paris season 3*

If you thought season three was going to be smooth sailing for Emily Cooper, then think again.

In true Emily in Paris style, season two left us with quite the cliffhanger as the marketing executive was faced with the tough decision of staying in the city of love or heading back to Chicago.

And in her personal life, the fashionista was about to declare her love for Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) despite being in a relationship with English banker Alfie (Lucien Laviscount).

So what exactly did the third chapter have in store for Miss Cooper?

Well, fans would be delighted to learn that in episode three, titled Coo D’état, Emily decided to follow her heart and stay in Paris.

In episode one, titled I Have Two Lovers, Emily being Emily, attempted to work for her American boss Madeline Wheeler (Kate Walsh), and her French marketing officer Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu).

However, she was quickly rumbled by Sylvie who later fired her from Savoir. Despite the brutal dumping, Emily used her impeccable social media skills to entertain her Instagram followers with her city vlogs… before Sylvie realised Emily was a great asset to the firm and ultimately hired her back!

Hooray!

While her career was seemingly back on track, we’re still dealing with a ‘will they won’t they’ situation with Emily and Gabriel.

Although Alfie proved to be a major distraction, we catch moments where Emily is longingly looking at Gabriel.

And things weren’t looking too rosy for Gabriel and Camille as they were more distant than ever, which led Camille to explore a connection with Greek artist Sofia Carson (Melia Kreiling).

With both their respective partners out of town, a drunk Gabriel declared his love to a stunned Emily, but she chose to dismiss his comments.

In episode nine, titled Love Is In The Air, Gabriel told Emily that he planned to prose to Camille, but Emily is aware that Camille has been cheating on Gabriel with Sofia!

Drama, drama, drama!

Fans will remember that after Camille exposed Emily and Gabriel’s dalliance in season two, both girls made a pact that neither of them will date him, but of course that went out the window.

The final episode sees the squad celebrating Camille and Gabriel’s engagement, but a moment of spontaneity overcame Gabriel after he learned that his Italian bistro was awarded a Michelin star.

After seeing Emily and Gabriel share a hug, a jealous Camille struggled to keep her composure and decided to reject Gabriel at the altar in front of everyone.

A horrified Alfie is shocked to discover the pact made between the two women and insisted that Emily should be with Gabriel, but the mic finally drops after Gabriel confides to Emily that Camille is pregnant…. which confirmed suspicions as to why he initially proposed to Camille.

Elsewhere Emily’s bestie Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) is faced with an incredible opportunity to perform at Eurovision, but here’s the catch, she would have to perform with her ex-boyfriend Benoit (Kevin Dias).

It’s a good thing season four is confirmed because this has left us with so many questions that need answering.

Will Emily and Gabriel finally give in to their feelings, will Alfie stay in Paris or move back to London?

Emily in Paris is available to stream on Netflix.
