The Traitors viewers have pinpointed the exact moment Kieran Tompsett appeared to signal to Hannah Byczkowski that Wilfred Webster wasn’t as he seemed – and we’re not talking about his already infamous ‘parting gift’ line.

On last night’s episode of the thrilling BBC reality series, Hannah, Aaron Evans and Meryl Williams walked away with a joint jackpot of £101,050, splitting the winnings between them.

However, moments before, they’d been on the verge of losing it all to Wilf, had they not voted for him to be banished as a Traitor.

At the roundtable earlier on in the evening, Kieran dropped one hell of a clue that Wilf was a Traitor when he voted for him to be eliminated, saying that it was his ‘parting gift’.

However, that wasn’t the only action he took to try his best to throw Wilf under the bus, as fans have noticed a brief look shared between him and Hannah that may have been the moment that the tables turned.

As Kieran stood before the rest of the finalists, before revealing that he was in fact a Traitor, he stared fixedly at Hannah, before his eyes flitted towards Wilf, and then back to Hannah.

Hannah seemed to cotton on to what he was doing, as she immediately glanced over at Wilf, an expression of disbelief dawning on her face.

Meanwhile, Wilf looked back at her while also peering at Kieran, leaning on his hands as he undoubtedly was hoping Kieran wouldn’t overtly say he was a Traitor with his farewell message.

One viewer who spotted the tense wordless exchange between Kieran and Hannah tweeted: ‘OMG I didn’t clock on to the eyes Kieran gives to Hannah to look at Wilf!!! A nation thanks you Kieran!’

‘It baffles me that so many people seem to have missed that he did this 😂😂😂THIS WAS THE WHOLE CATALYST,’ someone else remarked.

Another person wrote: ‘This bit right here… I screamedddd he literally told Hannah with his eyes he didn’t even need to say anything else.’

‘How can a single side-eye become hands-down my favourite moment of the year? Jennifer Coolidge has somehow been outdone!’ one person stated.

After the final episode of the show aired, Kieran took to Twitter to shower Wilf with praise for his impressive game-playing from start to finish.

‘Can we give a moment for this Man,’ he tweeted. ‘Made the best TV in years, without him the show would not be as good as it was! Epic battle.

‘Wilfred you were a worthy opponent thank you for the memories!’

The Traitors is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
