A bad singer won thousands of pounds in the latest episode of I Can See Your Voice, ‘stealing’ the win after successfully fooling the contestants.

Players Saaj and Shash made it to the final round of the show but were unsuccessful in their bid to take home the £10,000 prize.

The celebrity panel of Amanda Holden, 50, Jimmy Carr, 48, Alison Hammond, 46, and Ronan Keating, 44, were tasked with helping Saaj and Shash guess who was good and bad at singing from a number of different people.

In the first round, the celebrities and contestants are given some time to observe and examine each singer based on their appearance and must eliminate one singer, guessing if their vocal skills are up to par.

They then judge them on their lip syncing skills, with good singers miming to their own voices and bad singers miming to someone else’s.

If they are successful they move on to the Unlock my Life round where they hear the singer’s backstory, and then they are able to interrogate two people who remain in a bid to find out of they can sing.

Saaj and Shash were left with the singer known as Junior Doctor in the last round and were hopeful she could belt out a tune so they can go home with the £10,000.

However, she launched into an assault on the ears with a terrible performance – meaning she took home the prize money.

It was a stark contrast to previous episodes, one of which saw a rugby lad musician stun with his incredible voice.

Emmo, a professional singer from Ireland, donned his rugby shirt as he appeared on the show as ‘Pitch Perfect’.

Lip-syncing early on in the show, he didn’t have anyone convinced, with the celeb detectives refusing to believe he was a good singer.

‘Does that voice look like it comes from that person?!’ Jimmy asked in disbelief.

However, once Emmo came out with his guitar and gave a gorgeous rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s Dancing in the Dark, there was no doubt.

I Can See Your Voice returns Saturday on BBC One at 7.30pm.
