Mandy Rose has insisted while she feels ‘very hurt’ by her shock WWE release, she can’t say if was ‘wronged’ by the company.

The former NXT Women’s Champion – whose 413-day run with the gold came to an end last month one day before her departure was confirmed amid reports it was down to risque content on her FanTime site – has spoken out to address her exit, while noting there is ‘some confidentiality’ on the matter.

Mandy appeared on the Tamron Hall Show on Tuesday and admitted there are some things she ‘can’t really discuss’ regarding the nature of her release.

However, she said: ‘Because of everything that has happened since then, everything happens for a reason, and I can’t even say I was wronged because I’m so forever grateful for everything that the WWE has presented me with.

‘I can’t say I was wronged or not. I’m hurt. I’m very hurt. No one wants to get that call that you’re being fired from any job. I was very hurt and very disappointed.’

The Age-year-old star noted that a big part of that disappointment came from her work on the NXT brand, which she embraced as an opportunity to develop herself and the stars of the future.

‘I was disappointed more because of everything I put into the business, but just the last year and a half – I was champion for 413 days, I unified the two titles, I was the third longest-reigning NXT Women’s Champion,’ she explained.

‘I also created this must-see faction [Toxic Attraction] with two other women that I brought up. I got to see so many women develop their characters and they are younger than me and at the beginning of their careers.

‘To me, that was so important because it was so rewarding for me. Losing the title was obviously a gut punch. I was so disappointed. At the end of the day, my purpose was gone.’

Mandy – who earned over $1 million in a couple of weeks after her exit mid-December – noted she loves her body of work in WWE and the platform she was given, and she will be ‘forever grateful for them’.

On the subject of a potential return one day, she admitted her attitude was ‘never say never’, but there ‘would have to be a conversation’ if management asked her to shut down her FanTime page in order to make a comeback.
