Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has said she sought medical advice after falling ill a handful of days before the Dancing On Ice premiere.
The Love Island winner is among the 11 stars, who also include TOWIE star Joey Essex and The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswara, taking to the ice rink in the ITV juggernaut series.
The celebs will be trying to impress judges Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Oti Mabuse with complex routines in a bid to be crowned champion of the tough competition.
The reality TV star is paired with professional ice skater Brendyn Hatfield on Dancing On Ice, which will launch on the Triggerpoint broadcaster on Sunday.
But on Thursday, the 28-year-old shared on Twitter that she was ‘very ill’, hoping that she would be well enough in time for the first episode, hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
She wrote: ‘Very Ill. doctors have told me to rest hopefully I can recover very quickly ready for Sunday.’

Fans were quick to rally around Ekin-Su, wishing her a speedy recovery, with one saying: ‘Oh girl you definitely need to look after yourself, the most important thing is that you rest up and feel better!! everything else can wait. sending all the love and positive vibes to you for a speedy recovery.’
Another penned: ‘Omg :(( pls rest and get well soon,’ while a third added: ‘So sorry to read this – lots of rest , I know Davide will take care of you.’
Many others said they hoped Ekin-Su would feel better in time for Sunday and were ‘praying’ for her swift recovery.

Ekin-Su has previously spoken about sustaining a nasty injury during the intense training for Dancing on Ice.
In a November episode of Good Morning Britain, she explained: ‘It’s gone now but there was a bruise. I’ve lost a toe [nail], but anyway! It’s fine. It went backwards, but it’s great. That is gonna explain how my training is going.’

She also said to Daily Star that practising routines was brutal, adding: ‘It’s very intense but I’m loving every minute of it.
‘My whole body hurts.’
Dancing On Ice begins on ITV1 on Sunday January 15 at 6.30pm.
