A statement from the shopping centre read: “New store alert! DB1 clothing has chosen Glasgow Fort for its first store, offering a wide range of Denim for both men and women, men’s suits as well as a small selection of brands including Missguided, PrettyLittleThing and Luke 1977.”
The store is also recruiting for a number of in-store roles.
Shoppers flocked to the comments to share their excitement over the opening.
One wrote: “Omg PLT!”
Another commented: “Girls’ shopping day at Glasgow Fort.”
A third tagged their pal, adding: “This is the place I was telling you about!”
A fourth put: “I was wondering what this was.”
A fifth added: “This is what we saw.”
Last year, we told how Glasgow Fort announced that the current Zara store will be relocating to a larger unit previously occupied by Topshop and Topman.
The new premises is spread across two floors and boasts an extended product range including homeware.
Work has already started on the new store which is expected to open in late 2023.
The current Zara will continue trading until the new store opens its doors.
And the announcement has sent fashion fans into a frenzy, as one wrote: “That’s exactly what the Fort needs.”
