WWE star Jinny has announced her wrestling retirement at the age of 35.
The London-born grappler known as the Fashionista, who was predominately featured on the NXT UK brand, has been out of action for a long spell due to injury and has decided to call time on her in ring career.
Sharing pictures from her run both in WWE and the independent scene, she tweeted: ‘After a long time away due to an injury, I have made the decision to hang up my fashionable boots.
‘Thank you for all the memories. I’ll remember for them forever.’
Jinny didn’t appear downhearted in her statement, and insisted she was looking forward to whatever the future may hold.
‘Every journey has an end, but in life, every ending is just a new beginning. I’m excited about what’s next,’ she added.
Her final match was a win over Amale on NXT UK in November 2021.
The retirement announcement prompted an outpouring from fans and fellow wrestlers, with her husband Gunther – the current Intercontinental Champion – sharing the post and replying with a red heart.
WWE star Mia Yim and IMPACT’s Deonna Purrazzo were among those to share similar replies.
‘Thank you queen. Rest up and we appreciate you,’ said one fan, while another added: ‘All the best with whatever the future has prepared for you Jinny! Thank you for all of these years of non-stop entertainment.’
During her in-ring career, Jinny became a two time champion in PROGRESS and also held RevPro’s British Women’s Title.
As well as championship success, she was keen to use her platform to improve representation in a similar way to Raw star Mustafa Ali.

‘For someone of Indian ethnic background – obviously Mustafa Ali has Pakistani background, but we’re both Asian,’ she told Metro.co.uk. ‘In wrestling, the thing that unites us is the love for professional wrestling and I have so much respect for what he’s doing.
‘I hope I can follow in his footsteps and break down even more barriers and inspire even more people like myself who watched WWE when they were younger and show it doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from.’
