Well ITV, does Kelly fit the bill?

Kelly Brook has pleaded with ITV producers to allow her to host the supposedly new Love Island spin-off geared towards helping middle-aged people meet their match.
The 43-year-old model and TV star is no stranger to the concept as she fronted the original series that was then called Celebrity Love Island in 2005.
She hosted the show 18 years ago with Patrick Kielty and watched over famous contestants including Callum Best and Liz McClarnon as they sought out a real connection.
Claiming she’s ‘got to do it’ as she is ‘vintage Love Island’, the star was convinced she was the only woman for the job.
Kelly’s desire to add a new notch to her presenting belt came after ITV bosses announced they were looking for single people over 40 for a new show they were planning to name The Romance Retreat.
Her revelations were aired during a chat with her Heart FM radio co-star JK (Jason King) while recording their weekday evening show.

She told her fellow presenter: ‘I’ve got to do it. I’m sorry but I’m vintage Love Island. I did the first series. Hello?!
‘I just want to put my hand up for that job if they’re looking for a host. I still can’t present very well, but it doesn’t matter.’
The brunette beauty went a step further and revealed that a top TV producer had originally ‘pitched’ the idea to her, claiming she was ‘at the seed’ of the dating series phenomenon from the early days.

‘She showed me a map of what Love Island was going to look like and she pitched the whole idea,’ Kelly explained.
‘I was there at the seed of it. I was a consultant producer on the first series of Love Island!’
The famous broadcaster – who married her long-term partner Jeremy Parisi in an Italian ceremony last year – said that she had been calling on the channel to produce a series for older contestants as people can find love no matter how old they are.
She quipped: ‘You don’t just give up looking for love just because you’re over 25, you can find love at any age.’
Kelly’s pleas came after the ITV1 network announced their latest dating show and shared details that highlighted its similarities to Love Island.
Their official call-out release stated that the wildly popular channel was seeking ‘vibrant single parents from across the UK who are in search of love’ to cast in their series.
Metro.co.uk contacted ITV for comment.
