Ricochet has heaped praise on WWE boss Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and shed some light on what the future could hold.

The SmackDown superstar, who will be one of 30 men competing in the Royal Rumble on Saturday night (January 26), has shared his thoughts on his relationship with The Game from their time working together in NXT to Triple H taking over creative from Vince McMahon last summer.

He exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘It’s kind of always been there, ever since NXT, that communication, that line has been there with me and Triple H. Anytime that I’ve had a question and gone to him, he’s been there to answer it, so that really hasn’t changed too much.

‘I just think… it just goes through different ebbs and flows. When I got there in 2019, I think it was Paul Heyman who was head of creative. He was kind of doing that thing, me and Aleister [Black], I think Buddy Murphy at the time, a couple of us were doing our thing.

‘And then it goes through different changes, Bruce [Prichard] comes in, now Triple H is here. Now that Triple H is here, he’s making the decisions that he thinks today’s market wants to see.

‘He’s trying to – not cater to today’s market, but find that line of today’s market, with WWE, with everything going into it. I think he’s trying to do the best job he can, making everything flow, making the big show’s flow, the live events.’

He suggested Triple H has ‘done pretty good so far’, with live event attendance on the rise and WrestleMania 39 already breaking records without a single match being announced for the April double header in Hollywood.

‘I think he’s done pretty good so far, especially I think the stories are coming together beautifully,’ he said. ‘I know WrestleMania is our highest grossing WrestleMania ever and we haven’t even announced a match yet!’

Looking to the future, the former Intercontinental Champion insisted things should be taken ‘day by day’, without rushing into any huge changes, and pointed to the way Triple H has started to rebuild the roster.

‘I think so far, everything has been a step at a time, and just figuring out the next step. You’ve gotta take it day by day and you’ve gotta take it opportunity by opportunity,’ he explained.

‘I know he’s trying to broaden the roster as well. I think not just him, but I think they all have a plan that they are trying to set in motion. This is just the beginning, I think this plan is just beginning to set in motion and I think continuing forward, it’s gonna be nothing but good things!’

WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1. The Royal Rumble airs Saturday night at 1am via the WWE Network or BT Sport1.
