Fashion whizz Brandon Balfour shared a few simple tricks to keep your jumpers looking brans new.
Posting a video on Instagram, Brandon explained one of the worst things anyone can do is hang their jumpers up with a coat hanger.
You should always fold your knitted clothes, according to the fashion fan.
It turns out the weight of most jumpers means they can easily stretch on hangers, not to mention the hangers can cause holes to develop as well.
And unless you “absolutely need to” you shouldn’t wash you jumpers either.
Of course, if you spill something right down the middle of your jumper, there might not be another option.
But if it just needs a bit of a refresh there is something else you can do.
Brandon said: “Put it in a Ziploc bag and throw it into your freezer.
“It’s actually going to kill all the bacteria and the stench.”
And finally, the key to making knitted clothes look new and expensive is shaving off any pilling.
Pilling is unavoidable sometimes, so keeping on top of it can make all the difference.
There are special gadgets you can use for this, but an old razor should work just as well if you want a cheap alternative.
Viewers loved the simple trick, and many added that washing knitted clothes on a cool washing cycle is also a good way to keep them clean and looking fresh.
One person commented: “This is actually so useful, thank you!!”
And a second agreed: “Yes! Always fold and never hang your jumpers!”
