I tried out Kim Kardashian’s Skims and the Primark dupe – there was a clear winner and it’s so much better

WHEN it comes to shapewear do you really need to fork out on Kim Kardashian’s pricey Skims or can you find a better alternative elsewhere?

Fashion fan Emily Lucy Rajch decided to find out putting Skim’s shapewear up against a Primark dupe.

Emily said both shapewear left a visible panty line but the Skims one was worseTikTok/@emilylucyrajch

Emily said in a video online: “Today I am trying the skims shapewear pants vs the Primark version.”

She continued: “Previously I have absolutely loved both of these brands for shapewear so it will be interesting to compare both together.”

First Emily tried the Primark seamfree controlling high waisted thong in black in a size medium, these are selling for £5.

Emily said she was not a fan of the Primark dupe.

“The material on the Primark ones kept rolling down. There wasn’t anything there to keep it up so I ended up with this weird in between bit (around her stomach area).

Emily was most upset with the visible panty line on the Primark shapewear pants.

She said: “Also the visible pant line was so unflattering.”

Next Emily tried on Kim Kardashian’s sculpting mid waist briefs in black.

The briefs are now on sale for £20 online down £12 from the original £32.

Emily said these shapewear pants were better at cinching you in.

She said:“Then when comparing to the Skims the size difference was crazy, however this had like a waistband that stayed up and it really did suck you in.”

But suprisingly the visible pant line on the Kim K’s shapewear was even worse that Primarks shapewear.

Emily said: “However the visible pant line on this one was even worse. It was super unflattering and I hated it.”

In the end Emily decided her go-to shapewear was the winner.

Not the shapewear pants but the seamless sculpt low back bodysuit mid thigh.

Emily bought hers in the colour clay for £66.

Emily said: “My absolute go-to favourite shapewear is from Skims, it is this full body shapewear suite and oh my god the difference in comparison to these two shapewears is so clear.”

She continued: “This I would recommend, do not waste your money on anything else.”

Emily’s shapewear video trial gained over 490,000 views.

One user said: “The full body from skims is amazing , My favourite shapewear.”

Another said: “Okay I need it.”

In the end Emily said the Skims full bodysuit was the only shapewear worth paying forTikTok/@emilylucyrajch
