100 Thieves Co-owner Valkyrae Contemplates Quitting Social Media Over Tiktok Hate

100 Thieves co-owner and the planet’s most popular female streamer, Valkyrae might back out from streaming. This narrative came forward in one of her recent streams. While casually talking to her audience, Valkyrae said she might consider quitting social media for good.

This statement from her is not surprising as recently she received a lot of heat on social media. As a result of the Addison Rae x TommyInnit Dream SMP drama, Valkyrae came amidst the crossfire. The 29-year-old Youtuber had to face a great deal of online toxicity based on unnecessary rumors. She had already once discussed the issue with her fans live on stream, calling it ‘ridiculous’. While she had nothing to with removing TommyInnit from the Dream SMP, social media patrons thought otherwise.

“It’s just the most weirdest thing I’ve ever seen on social media that I happen to be involved in. People are wilding, people are going crazy . So I just got on TikTok and I started seeing a bunch of Tiktoks . I’m seeing comments like ‘because of you, Addison is cancelled, you should be cancelled, not her.’ and ‘Don’t be shy, apologize, It was you, not Addison’.”

Valkyrae might change her career path

It is now clear that the hate did not stop at that. Valkyrae spoke about how social media has a negative impact which can really mess up one’s mental health.

“I actually really, really hate social media. Like the scary parts of it, I really hate it . I think there is definitely going to be a time in my life where I do pivot out of social media . I don’t know when, I don’t know how but it has been on my mind a lot . All the trolls and stuff and like all the random hate and stalkers and creepiness. I just don’t want to live this way for the rest of my life. It’s so creepy sometimes.”

This incident has left the 29-year-old vividly affected. She even spoke about moving on from streaming, cutting off all social media to pursue a new venture.

“I think I’m gonna pivot into business and investing probably , soon or eventually or whenever. Social media fame is not really fulfilling. It’s incredibly invasive. It has been on my mind a lot. Social media is so exposing, they’re always looking for the worst in you, like they want to find something bad about you and use it against you. It’s really scary.”

While there is no concrete news on that front anymore, Valkyrae’s statements led her to provide a statement on Twitter confirming that she still believes some people are genuine and possess the ability to keep the online forum clean.

Here’s hoping her admirers and others will come to their senses and not vomit unnecessary hatred where it is not needed. Valkyrae is just another example in the recent times who has been a victim of irresponsible online behavior.
