Love Island viewers felt sorry for Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo after Casey O’Gorman decided to recouple with Claudia Fogarty.
During Thursday’s explosive episode, the islanders had to decide whether to stick with their OG partners or explore new connections in the house of love.
Although Cluadia, 28, didn’t pursue anyone during her time away, Casey, 26, was getting to know Cynthia, 26.
Presenter Maya Jama first asked Casey who he wanted to couple up with and viewers were shocked when he said that he wanted to recouple with Claudia.
When asked if he’d remained loyal during Casa, Casey shared that none of the connections came close to what he had with Claudia – which ultimately left Claudia in disbelief.
After Cynthia recalled the steamy moment the pair shared on the terrace, she turned away in tears while her Casa co-stars comforted her.

Things also took a fiery turn when Claudia laughed at a comment she made to Casey, which resulted in Layla Al-Momani telling her ‘you shouldn’t be laughing.’
Fans immediately took to Twitter to share their frustrations, with one writing: ‘Nah what Casey did to Cynthia. He has lost my respect. He fully led her on.’
Another added: ‘I really did not like the way Cynthia was stood up there crying clearly upset and Casey & Claudia were laughing? Nervous or not that’s nasty and uncomfortable for her, so glad the casa girls were there.’
A third person tweeted: ;I knew Casey wouldn’t choose Cynthia however the way he went about it and wasn’t upfront to both girls is horrible. Claudia probably thinks Casey didn’t do nothing deep however we all saw how gassed the guy was all over Cynthia. Claudia should definitely apologise.’
