Alison Hammond’s relationship timeline as she gets ‘engaged’ to boyfriend Ben Hawkins-Kitty Chrisp-Entertainment – Metro

Alison Hammond is all set to walk down the aisle with partner Ben Hawkins, according to her future father-in-law.

Just after the pair were spotted out and about together for the first time since their romance blossomed a few years ago, Colin Hawkins, 72, revealed the happy couple are planning on getting married.

When asked whether the 48-year-old was engaged to his son, he said in an interview: ‘I do know they have both proposed to one another but there are no rings that I know of.’ 

He also hailed Alison as the ‘nicest woman we’ve ever met’ while also giving more details on what he knows about the supposed future wedding.

‘They are really happy but they haven’t got everything sorted just yet but they are both talking about marriage, that is true,’ he told the Mail Online.

‘What I do know is that when it happens, none of us will know about it because it’ll be done in private. That much they have told me.

‘I love Alison to bits. She’s the nicest woman we’ve ever met. I would love to tell you a load of stories and they are all good, but I can’t because she’s asked us to keep things private.’

Colin also sweetly said it would be a ‘very proud day’ for him, as he explained you could always count on Alison to ‘help’ when you’re in trouble, because ‘that’s the way she is’.

Although Colin said he ‘won’t be there to see’ the big day, he doesn’t mind.

‘I will be Alison’s father-in-law and that’ll be lovely,’ he said.

This comes after Alison said in January she was open to getting engaged again now there’s ‘someone special’ in her life.

Who is Alison Hammond’s fiance?

Not much is known about Ben, but it’s been reported he lives in his family home in Worcestershire and he is a landscape gardener.

Speaking to My Weekly magazine, Alison revealed last month: ‘There’s someone special and if he wants to pop the question, he can pop away.

‘A year-and-a-half I’ve been with him, and no one knew. He absolutely worships me and massages my feet every single day. What more do you want?’

How long have they been together?

Alison and Ben have been dating for less than two years.

The pair met when Alison hired Ben to landscape her garden at her West Midlands home two years ago and they started dating six months later, according to MailOnline.

In May, Alison’s This Morning co-host Dermot O’Leary accidentally blurted out live on air she was dating someone.

He said: ‘You’re not available anymore, are you, but if you were – jeez, what a catch!’. 

Usually private about her relationships, Alison took this like a trooper and subsequently confirmed she was indeed off the market.

Has Alison Hammond been married before?

The Birmingham star split from her fiancée, single dad and security guard Jamie Savage, in 2017 after three years together.

At the time Alison said: ‘We split up. It’s the worst news ever. I don’t think I want anyone else now.’

The This Morning star also shares an 18-year-old son, Aiden, with her ex-husband, Manchester cab driver Noureddine Boufaied, who she later divorced.

In 2020, Alison was also briefly involved with audio technician Ben Kusi after they met on Celebs Go Dating. 

It looks like after a string of unlucky romances, Alison has found the person she’s looking for – and we love to see it.
