I’m pregnant & told myself the Skims dress wasn’t worth the hype – but I gave in and was open-mouthed at the results

A FASHION fan has shared her thoughts on the viral Skims dress after giving in and trying one out for herself.

Pregnant Facebook user Abbie Herbert, who is one half of social media couple The Herberts, said she’d been told that the outfit from Kim Kardashian’s company wasn’t for her.

Abbie posted a video on her account where she said that others had told her: “The Skims dress is not worth the hype.

“Plus you’re pregnant and can’t wear it.”

But, after some deliberation, Abbie decided to give it a go – and never looked back.

The next time she appeared in front of the camera in her reel, she was wearing what appeared to be the Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress.

The black spaghetti strap dress, which cost £76, has been one of the key pieces to set social media alight, as fans rave about the fit and material.

And it seems Abbie is now among Skims’ biggest fans, as she smiled and posed for her 409k followers.

First, she showed what it looked like straight on, as it accentuated her small waist.

Then, the mum-to-be turned to the side and revealed it tightly hugged her bump and made her look amazing.

In the caption, she added: “I can wear whatever I want.”

Her followers were quick to agree, as they rushed to the comment section to say how great she looked in the dress.

One said: “You look freaking amazing. Bugger the haters!”

A second added: “My jaw done popped, locked and dropped to the floor.”

Others went on to describe her as “gorgeous”, “beautiful”, and “soooo pretty.”

Meanwhile, other new mums said that they had lived in Skims during their pregnancy.

One new parent said: “Literally my favourite dress while pregnant and I’m twice your size.”

A second added: “Literally all I wore during my pregnancy.”

As a third wrote: “I wanted this dress for my baby shower.

“I think it’s perfect for pregnancy.”

Other mums also said they’d bought the dress for their pregnancyFacebook – @theherbertsofficial
