The White Lotus star Haley Lu Richardson wants to be on Love Island to ‘see if anyone would like her’-Alistair McGeorge-Entertainment – Metro

Haley Lu Richardson has already starred in The White Lotus and a literal Jonas Brothers music video but she’s got another goal to kick off the list.

The 27-year-old actress might be from the US but she’s clearly a fan of British culture – or at least our cracking reality TV shows – after she threw out the idea of appearing on Love Island one day.

Vanity Fair caught up with the stars on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild (Sag) Awards on Sunday and quizzed them on what show they’d like to guest star on.

Most of the answers revolved around the likes of Succession, White Lotus, Ted Lasso, Severance and more – but Hayley took a different route.

‘Honestly, I’d love to be on Love Island,’ she admitted. ‘For a day! Just to see what it’s like, and to see if anyone would like me.’

We’re sure she’d been turning plenty of heads in the villa – and it turns out she has White Lotus itself to thank for her passion for the ITV dating show.

Speaking to Vanity Fair late last year, she admitted: ‘I literally have [Love Island] paused on my TV right now. I’m not even joking.’

She credits her co-star Leo Woodall, who plays her character Portia’s on-screen love interest Jack, with sparking her desire to tune in.

‘I think maybe Leo did it to me,’ she joked. ‘Maybe getting to know Leo subconsciously made me want to watch a bunch of hot guys with British accents.’

Not surprisingly, fans loved Haley Lu’s response at the Sag Awards, with one fan hailing her as ‘so real for that’, while another added: ‘I love her for this.’

A different fan thought her Love Island answer was ‘very relatable’, and a fourth Twitter user wrote: ‘Haley is for the people, I love her so much.’

Meanwhile, others pointed out her response was very typical of her character in White Lotus, with a fifth person quipping: ‘Haley Lu is literally Portia irl’.
