Aubrey Plaza’s ‘annoyed’ face explained after White Lotus star looked frustrated during Sag Awards acceptance speech-Stella Akinwumi-Entertainment – Metro

It turns out there was a justifiable explanation behind Aubrey Plaza’s frustrated reaction during Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild (Sag) Awards – she was ‘almost whacked in the face’!

The White Lotus star, 38, joined her cast mates as they were up accepting the prize for best ensemble in a drama series, which marked the last award of the night.

Actor F. Murray Abraham gave the acceptance speech, while Aubrey was spotted next to Meghann Fahy, Theo James, and Will Sharpe, while co-star Jon Gries grabbing her by the arm and whispered something to her.

While the cast congratulated each other, Aubrey appeared to mouth ‘Jesus Christ’ with viewers taking it as a moment of anger, although the reason for it is unclear.

An insider claimed that the Harper Spiller actress was ‘almost elbowed in her face’ while her and her female co-stars were at the back.

The source also added to Mail Online that Aubrey suffered a near wardrobe malfunction after actor Jon warned her that her ‘boob was hanging out’ of her cut-out metallic jumpsuit.

Despite the onstage commotion, Aubrey appeared in good spirits earlier in the night as she posed for photos on the red carpet, and also joined Wednesday star Jenna Ortega on stage to present an award as they joked about the similarities between them.

‘I don’t know why they paired us up together,’ Aubrey joked, and Jenna quipped: ‘Yeah, I know, we have nothing in common.’

‘We should find the people who did this,’ Aubrey added while the You actress said: ‘And curse their families and watch as…’

They both continued at the same time: ‘…And watch as misfortune follows their bloodline for the next seven generations’, before glancing at each other as Aubrey joked that she ‘sees it now’.
