Justin Thomas Reveals How He Celebrated His 28th Birthday

Justin Thomas is a part of the field at the 2021 Valspar Championship. JT is in good form and displayed a terrific performance in Round 1 on Thursday. Co-incidentally, April 29 was also Thomas’ birthday, and the golfer had a chat with the media about how the celebrations went.

Justin Thomas had the perfect start to his 28th birthday. Not only was he on the field competing at the 2021 Valspar Championship, but Thomas started his first-round proceedings with a brilliant eagle putt.

As for his game, Thomas would’ve been quite happy with how he performed on his birthday. He finished with a 2-under 69 and made three birdies in the round. Furthermore, Justin Thomas informed the media about how he celebrated before heading to the Copperhead Course.

“It’s been good. I woke up and played with my dog and had a smoothie and came out here. But that’s a pretty normal birthday on the PGA TOUR just playing golf,”  Thomas mentioned.

Well, that’s just how an average PGA Tour golfer spends his birthday every year. If there’s a tournament, that becomes the first priority and nothing else.

Justin Thomas names major area for improvement in his game

Justin Thomas got off to a good start at the challenging Copperhead Course. The 2021 Players Championship winner gained valuable spots on the leaderboard with his performance. However, Thomas does have a few areas that he wants to perfect at the 2021 Valspar Championship.

“I’m going to go hit some putts. Like I said, I felt like I hit a lot of really quality putts, good putts, a couple maybe had a little bit more speed. The greens are bumpy in the afternoon, you’re going to get that any time you’re in the afternoon wave, they’re always going to be a little bit bumpier than the morning,” Thomas stated

Getting off to a good start is the key to playing well at the Copperhead Course. Thomas made 11/18 greens in regulations with a driving accuracy of 84.62%. The 14-time PGA Tour winner has a real chance to win the 2021 Valspar Championship. Can he deliver?
