I’m a fashion expert and wearing branded clothes makes you look so cheap… but I didn’t always take my own advice
A FASHION influencer has told how branded clothes make you look cheap, although she joked that she didn’t always take her own advice.
The TikToker, who posts with the handle @slo_mootd, showed her preferred minimal style – followed by a shot of her when she was younger kitted out in Adidas clothes.

But the style guru hadn’t always stuck to her own adviceTikTok/@slo_mootd
These days her style is far more muted with no labels showing and just neutral tones.
She said: “I am a minimalist. I don’t like brands on my clothes. It looks so cheap.”
She then showed a range of her chic outfits, all without brand names on display.
She rounded off the video with a photo of herself as a youngster with low-rise jeans, Adidas trainers and an Adidas hoodie.
She added the comment: “Wtf, are you dumb?!”
Fellow TikTokers were quick to comment on the style advice.
One person said: “Simple is always better!”
Another said: “I’m only a minimalist cause I’m scared of getting mugged with all those labels.”
While another said: “I’m the same way. I don’t like any print nor colour.
“My brain is chaotic enough so I don’t need my clothes to be too.”
