We have the line-up for Danny Dyer’s new TV series – and it’s a good one!
The EastEnders actor, 45, fronts brand new Channel 4 reality series, Scared of the Dark.
As if the title alone wasn’t scary enough, the show will see eight celebrities step into the unknown in the name of competition.
Their senses will be taken on the ultimate journey as they enter a completely pitch-black reality space for eight days.
Rather them than us!
As for the brave (some might say bonkers) celebs taking on their fears, the cast includes former pro footballer Paul Gascoigne, Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt, boxer Chris Eubank, and comedian Chris McCausland.

Joining them are actress Donna Preston, reality star Chloe Burrows, The Wanted’s Max George, and retired pro boxer Nicola Adams.
All eight will have to reside in The Bunker, a purpose-built living space designed to block out any light and rigged with 50 infrared cameras.
Over five successive nights, the show will follow the celebrities as they get to grips with living in the dark.
If they wish to leave The Bunker (and who wouldn’t, let’s be real), in I’m A Celebrity style, the celebrities must simply shout, ‘I’m Scared of The Dark’, and they are escorted into the light.
To prove their mettle, each star will take on a series of challenges designed to test either their primal fear of total darkness, or their ability to function in the pitch black.
Those who fail at their challenges will have to take on herculean tasks to save their place on the show.

Each competitor will be motivated to conquer their fears because, at the end, only one can emerge as the winner.
But will being in the dark form trust amongst the group, or will the overwhelming fear cause them to crumble, leaving them begging for the lights to be turned on?
Honestly, we’re getting chills just imaging the whole thing.
On hosting, the terrifying show, Danny said: ‘This is possibly one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever done in my career, and I have done a lot of mad things.
‘Throw in a bunch of celebs and make them do things with the lights off – it’s proper good telly

‘You’re gonna laugh, you’re gonna laugh some more and I promise you’re gonna love it.’
But don’t fret, the celebrities won’t actually come to harm, as their every move will be watched over by clinical psychiatrist Dr. Tharaka Gunarathne.

Dr. Gunarathne says ‘one the hardest challenges the celebrities face is dealing with the unknown; their psychological sense of uncertainty is at an all-time high.’
‘When you can’t see, your brain fills in the blanks and often imagines the worse. When you switch off the lights your ability to stay safe is suddenly threatened and that is what makes this particularly frightening.’
Scared of the Dark is coming soon to Channel 4 and All4.
