Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered Set to Release This Year According to New Leaks
Call of Duty is one of the most popular gaming franchises. The series is one of the oldest in its genre competing against other popular genre titles like FIFA, GTA, Pokemon, and many more. It has spawned over 24 titles with the latest being Black Ops Cold War, and another one set to release at the end of the year.
For the past few years, the franchise has churned out remastered versions of some of its most popular games. This started with the release of CoD Modern Warfare Remastered, which released in 2016. Raven Software, who worked on the remaster, tweaked the Infinity Ward title with enhanced graphics and other improvements for modern systems.
Since then, they also released the enhanced version for the CoD Modern Warfare 2 Campaign, which released last year.
Fans have waited for the announcement of the next remaster, and a new leak suggests that they won’t have to wait long.

So, it was originally set for Q2 of this year under a deal with PlayStation, but not sure if that’s still the case (date). Apparently it’s definitely still coming at some point this year

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered might release this year
Popular CoD insider, MW2 OG, revealed some info about the next remastered title for Call of Duty. He revealed that Activision will release the Modern Warfare 3 Remaster this year. Other than that, he also revealed that it was set to arrive in Q2 of this year, with a one-month exclusive deal with PlayStation. But he said that he is unsure whether that deal is still in place.
Modern Warfare 3 is one of the most popular games from the franchise. The title has sold almost 31 million copies, making it the series’ second biggest success after CoD Black Ops. Just like the Remaster of Modern Warfare 2, the latest game will only feature the campaign, and so far they have revealed no details about a multiplayer version.
The story of Modern Warfare 3
The story continues from the end of Modern Warfare 2, which revolved around the killing of General Shephard by Captain Price and Nikolai. Following the events, the story then focuses on the Task Force 141, which includes iconic characters like Soap and Yuri.
The plot revolves around their efforts to kill Vladimir Makarov, a Russian terrorist who has escaped from them countless times. It also gives a conclusion to the iconic trilogy, and many fans consider it to be one of the greatest storylines in all of gaming.
Fans have wanted to enjoy the trilogy of remasters, and the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered does just that. It would be interesting to see if Activision will release the multiplayer version of MW2 or MW3 because of the iconic maps present in it. But even then, players would probably be happy with just a campaign remaster because of the amount of nostalgia surrounding it.
