I’m a size small – I tried the new shaping swimwear from Skims, the one-piece ‘sucked me in in all the right places’
A FASHION influencer has shared her thoughts on the new Skims shaping swimwear.
The stylish creator revealed that she was a huge fan of the brand’s shapewear but was hesitant to try the swim line.

TikTok user Mariam (@mariamafzal60) explained: “I came across Miss Kimberley Kardashian’s [Instagram story]. She’s showing a new line, her new swimwear line. I’ve never really been into her swimwear.
“It’s too revealing for me and I’m not into the metallic thing. So I was skipping it like ‘I’m not into this’ but then I saw that it’s a shapewear swim line and I’m obsessed with all her shapewear,” she said.
In her video, the TikToker praised the innovation of the Kim and the Skims brand.
“I just think she killed the game with [the shapewear]. I truly thought [the shaping swimwear] was genius,” Mariam said.
The influencer said she thought to herself: “Who doesn’t want to be by the pool eating chips and guac, not worried about how their stomach looks?”
The stylish creator decided to try out the $108 shaping swim strapless one-piece.
Unboxing the look, she explained: ” I got the shade Gunmetal. It’s such a nice thick fabric that just makes you feel like you’re going to be sinched in, I already know, I don’t even need to try it on.”
Mariam also pointed out: “The straps are removable, which is really cute because it could just be a tube top vibe if you want it to be.”
The TikTok user also purchased the $78 swim sarong skirt, also in the color Gunmetal.
“Why do I love this skirt more than anything in my closet right now? I love the tie because it’s going to come in on my hips really nice and then the back has a really cute ruching,” she said before trying it on.
Modeling her complete swimwear look, Mariam said: “I got a size small in the swimsuit and in the skirt. The skirt is fine but I do wish I sized up in the swimsuit, when she said shapewear she was not joking.
“This thing is sucking me in in all the right places. I love the little belt that comes on it and the skirt is adorable,” she added.
The influencer shared some sizing advice with any of her followers who are planning to buy the shaping swimwear.
She revealed: “I’m a medium in her shapewear so I would definitely recommend just getting the shapewear size.”
