It’s time to party in Fortnite Coachella, which has added a new festival-themed island as well as Bad Bunny and Burna Boy emotes.

The battle royale is going all out with crossovers, as the Attack On Titan quests are still in full swing and now they’ve been joined by a very different kind of tie-in.

In honour of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival taking place this weekend, Fortnite has created a Coachella island for music fans to join in on the fun from home.

In typical Fortnite fashion, the item shop will be teeming with a plethora of Coachella-inspired cosmetics just waiting to drain your wallet.

Two new skins, Sunset Alto and Desert Dawn Lyric, will be released along with matching cosmetics that react to music played during the virtual festival, that will kick off on Friday, April 14 at 8pm BST.

To freshen up your memory, Alto and Lyric are the two Fortnite characters that debuted during last year’s Coachella event.

Additionally, there will be two new emotes based on songs from Bad Bunny and Burna Boy – the Slide Strine and Ask Me emotes – who are both performing at the IRL festival.

The in-game Icon Radio station will also feature a range of artists from this year’s line-up, which includes Blackpink, Frank Ocean, Gorillaz, and Charli XCX, among others.

To access the new Coachella Island, simply enter the map code 5449-4207-12803 or head to the Epic’s Picks section under the Discover tab in the game.

Some rewards for completing the Coachella quests include the Hi-Fi Cacti spray, the Look At The Sky lobby track, the Cact-eye emoticon, as well as the Coachella Sunset spray.

For those still wanting to score some more Coachella-inspired swag, the Wilder and Poet skins will also make a return for the duration of the special.

Fortnite Coachella will conclude at the end of the month, on Friday, April 28 at 5pm BST.
