Richard Sherman Not Ruling Out a Return to Seattle Seahawks
Richard Sherman carved a reputation for himself during his time with Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks last decade. The former Stanford man was selected by the Seahawks in 2011 in the 5th-round (154th overall). The promising cornerback went on to establish himself as one of the key components of Pete Carroll’s defense.
Nicknamed, The Legion of Boom, the likes of Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Brandon Browner, Walter Thurmond and Byron Maxwell led Seattle to their first-ever Super Bowl with Russell Wilson as their quarterback. However, Sherman opted to join divisional rivals, San Francisco 49ers in 2018.
The 5-time Pro Bowler agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract. He spent three years with Kyle Shanahan but is currently a free agent ahead of the 2021 NFL season.

Richard Sherman talks San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks
Speaking on ESPN’s First Take, veteran NFL cornerback Richard Sherman kept the possibility open of re-signing for the under-pressure Seattle Seahawks in 2021.
“There’s always a chance it can end up working out back in the bay. And I hit back that way. You know, that’s, that’s another place I’m really comfortable going to. Obviously, I know the staff, know the team well. Just to spend time there and would be ecstatic”
“You know, something happened there. But you know, they have a situation. It’s one of those things that will happen probably late or during the season, if it happens at all,” Sherman said on the show.
