Glenn Close is ready to reprise her role as Cruella de Vil and we need this to happen expeditiously.

A new Disney movie about the iconic villain’s origin story is just around the corner, but the 74-year-old star is still keen to get back into her fur coat for another 101 Dalmations flick.

Glenn famously brought the puppy-hating fashionista to life in the 1996 live-action movie, and the 2000 sequel, and now she’s got an idea in mind for what Cruella would be doing now.

Speaking to Variety, she teased: ‘I have a great story to make another Cruella with my Cruella.’

The eight-time Oscar nominee didn’t want to share more than that but she added: ‘Cruella comes to New York and disappears down the sewers.’

We can already picture her reaction as one of her fabulous fur coats gets ruined.

Until that comes to life, Emma Stone will be playing a younger Cruella in her Disney+ flick dropping later this month.

In the film, we learn that Cruella was born ‘brilliant, bad and a little bit mad’, and likes to cause lots of mayhem.

Emma’s Cruella is a young fashion designer who becomes obsessed with dog skins, and eventually becomes the villain we all know and love/hate.

Emma Thompson stars as the head of a fashion house that hires Cruella in the 1970s, while the reboot also stars Mark Strong, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Emily Beecham and Jamie Demetriou.

Cruella was first introduced as the villain in Dodie Smith’s 1956 novel The One Hundred and One Dalmatians and was brought to the screen in Disney’s 101 Dalmatians animated film five years later.

Cruella is out on Disney+ from May 28.
