He’s ruled out Meghan, though.

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber has squashed all suggestions that the mystery man sat beside him at the Coronation was Meghan Markle.

Well, that’s a sentence we’d never imagined to be writing this time a week ago.

The composer, 75, was sat next to a gent with shabby hair and tinted glasses during the ceremony held at Westminster Abbey on Saturday who went viral online, sparking various rumours.

Some thought he might be a spy, others a thief eyeing up the abundance of gold and rare gems on display.

Many, however, thought the Duchess of Sussex had secretly planted herself in the audience after confirming she wouldn’t be able to attend because it was Prince Archie’s fourth birthday.

Webber has somewhat comically confirmed that was not the case.

He tweeted: ‘I can confirm it probably wasn’t MM and had no jewels on his person as far as I could see – ALW.’

His followers were to clear up exactly who it was – the composer Sir Karl Jenkins.

Jenkins has also addressed the bizarre conspiracy theories.

In a TikTok video, the Welsh musician told his followers: ‘I was quite surprised that some people thought I was Meghan Markle in disguise,” he laughed.

‘Someone wrote I was there to steal the crown jewels.

‘I look this way all the time.

‘Oh, and my moustache… I’ve had the moustache since I was 18 years old. It was very trendy then. So that’s me. Nothing sinister about it or surprising at all!’

While Meghan wasn’t in attendance for the coronation, her husband Prince Harry did make the ceremony but flew back to Los Angeles that day, spending just 30 minutes at Buckingham Place afterwards and reportedly didn’t see the Royal Family.
