I’m an elegance coach – there are some things which scream ‘tacky’… but it REALLY divides opinions
AN ELEGANCE whizz has sparked quite the debate online after listing the items that make for a cheap and tacky appearance.
It often feels like the list of what’s considered to be tacky seems to be never-ending – there are long acrylics, teeny mini dresses and mesh tops with neon bras underneath, just to name a few.

But now, the list has grown even more, as one expert, Amira Bessette, urged all fashion lovers to ditch another three items from their wardrobes.
One of these, she revealed in her video shared on TikTok, was wearing heels with huge designer logos.
Whilst you may believe that posh designer brands, such as Louis Vuitton or YSL, will make you a stylish babe, the guru insisted that wasn’t really the case.
Instead of glitzy heels, she advised to opt for a more simple look, such as plain white strappy footwear.
”Huge logo instead of a heel is quite tacky. Perhaps if it was a bit smaller in different place, it’d look more refined,” she explained.
The same, she revealed, applies for your accessories, including purses and handbags.
Although a bright pink Gucci bag may be all the rage amongst some style fanatics, Amira was most certainly not one of them.
Describing it as ”not elegant”, the TikTok star urged to swap this with a more neutral option, for instance, a black bag.
To keep the overall look classy, Amira, who posts under the username @amira.bessette, also advised to keep the detailing to a minimum.

Rather than enjoying the holiday in a ‘tacky’ Calvin Klein swimsuit, choose one that’s basic and without logos all over.
But while Amira may stick to these ‘rules’, the reaction on social media was slightly different – and many hit back, sharing criticism.
One said: ”Elegant or just plain, unimaginative and timid?”
Another agreed, writing: ”I liked the not elegant stuff.”
”the ysl heels are more expensive than ur yearly paycheck just say u can’t afford it and go [sic[,” someone else added.
Luckily for the whizz, there were also some who shared the same opinion, such as this person who commented: ”bestie I just wanna say that I am the farthest from elegance a rat could get, but I enjoy these videos.”
