The second series of Open House: The Great Sex Experiment will push boundaries further than ever before in the latest series.

The show sees monogamous couples check into a retreat, where they are able to explore the idea of opening up their relationships.

Already unpacked and raring to go are the ‘residents,’ who are happy to assist them on their journey mentally and physically.

Among these sexual guardian angels were Sophia, 33, and Kiki, 26, who themselves were in an open relationship at the time of filming. They stayed in the manor house for three weeks and got very acquainted with the visiting couples.

After meeting on Instagram over three years ago, the couple quickly found themselves sharing a living space… and partners, while traveling around the world.

‘We’re in the sex industry for work. We started filming with other people for OnlyFans, and then it turned from work to fun. We’ve just been living life and enjoying it all,’ Sophia, real name Kim, explained.

Kiki, real name Katie, added: ‘Everything just started flowing well together. We did everything together and had a really good relationship. We’ve only ever had two arguments. We fulfill each other’s every need, and then guys add a bit of fun.’

The thought of sharing a partner with outsiders fills many people with jealousy, and while Sophia has never felt envy, Kiki admits that there was one occasion she felt left out.

‘I wanted more attention, and so we talked about it,’ she recalled.

‘She started stroking my hair, and giving me cuddles more. Everyone needs love and attention, and when there’s more than just you and your partner involved it can be more difficult to spread it fairly.’

‘For me it’s exciting,’ Sophia says of seeing Kiki with other people. ‘I’ve always been in relationships where we’ve shared each other. It’s fun, nothing serious.’

When they enter sexual situations with people outside of their relationship they consider each other as ‘security blankets.’

‘We have boundaries with other people, and know what each other like. We’re both quite submissive people, but if someone wanted to slap or use pain I know that Sophia doesn’t like that so I can step in.

‘She doesn’t need to say a word, I just know when she’s uncomfortable. We’re very in sync with each other.’

The pair have never been into monogamy – ‘Everyone has got to just be happy, and experiment but they need to make the choice together,’ said Sophia.

Kiki added: ‘The problems come when people don’t communicate. That’s how my previous open relationships have broken down.’

So, naturally, when the opportunity came to take part in the Channel 4 show they couldn’t say no. Sophia had previously starred on Naked Attraction, which eventually led to her and Kiki’s participation in Open House.

‘We just thought “why not?”,’ says Sophia. ‘People are judging us anyway,’ interjected Kiki.

The pair ended up being quite popular: ‘Everybody was looking for something different, but a lot of people wanted to experience something with females.

‘We came as a double girl package, so it was two for the price of one. They were over the moon when they found out we were together.

‘We were picked by quite a few couples, so unfortunately we had to let a few couples down,’ Sophia told us.

Kiki added: ‘We’re not good at letting people down, or saying no to people’s faces. We didn’t want to hurt people’s feelings.’

Despite being the more experienced habitants of the house, Sophia and Kiki got to experience something new themselves – an orgy.

‘We wanted to try it. A couple came on, and they saw us all together at a party and really liked everyone. We didn’t expect it as most people were picking one or two to experient with. We were thrown in at the deep end, as we weren’t at the party the whole night. We came into “We’re all going to have an orgy.” The rest is history,’ Kiki told us.

Sophia went into detail with us all as to how it all worked at the location.

‘We had a huge round bed, so it worked perfectly. Everyone was on their own bit, and then we all swapped. It was fun. It was definitely an experience and something I’m happy to have now ticked off the list.’

As well as crossing orgy off their to-do list, they found that they learned more about themselves than they were expecting.

‘We learned how to communicate even better. We’ve been through issues in our past that I hadn’t quite dealt with. I’ve had toxic relationships, and there have been past traumas,’ explained Kiki.

‘I’ve had people overstep their boundaries with me, and people play on my naivety. Being with Sophia and being on the show changed my perspective on it all.’

While a couple of visitors wanted orgies, others were initially more timid and wanted more ‘tame’ experiences. This was where the ‘starter package’ came in handy.

‘Some couples had never tried anything, so we’d do what we call the “starter package”,’ explained Sophia.

‘We’d have a bit of fun, some games, then they’d be some kissing, then with other couples we went further and sometimes we went the full way. We also had girls’ nights, solo dates but we’d always end up together, and obviously the orgy.’

‘Me and Kiki realised how good we are caring for people as they go down a new path. We’re both loving and soppy. It felt like we helped people. We didn’t want people to have the bad experiences that we’ve had. Everybody thanked us when they left, which made me emotional.’

Their day jobs helped them quickly get used to the presence of cameras, but Sophia still found it a little strange.

‘There were lots of little cameras that followed our every move. It was nerve-wracking at times. They were everywhere, and some hidden cameras. We get more comfortable around the crew as time went on, which helped.’

The couple decided to keep their participation a secret from some of their family members until just a week before the air date.

‘I was brought up very differently. My family is very religious, but I’ve had support from friends,’ Sophia told us. ‘Everyone in the house became my family. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever been through.’

‘Everyone complimented each other, and nobody was judging. We all got so close. We’d all sit and have little counseling sessions. We ate together, went to the gym together, went on walks together… and slept together.’

Kiki’s family are largely ignoring her Whatsapp messages about the TV show’s airing, but they have no regrets.

‘It’s important programmes like this are made to show a different way of life. People have a lot of questions about our choices, and this answers them,’ she stated.

Plus, they’ve made ‘friends for life’ and have been meeting up with the group since the show stopped filming in September, including for a trip to Torture Gardens in London. This wasn’t a wholesome excursion to look at plants, but instead a fetish event. ‘Everyone had such a laugh,’ Sophia revealed.

Currently, Sophia and Kiki are not together but they remain ‘best friends’ and expect they’ll be in each other’s lives again soon.

Open House: The Great Sex Experiment airs tonight on Channel 4 at 10pm
