Back in March 2023, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan won the winter edition of Love Island.

The couple, who took home a whopping £50,000 between them, are still together two months on – following in the footsteps of original winter winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp.

Now that winter has faded into spring and the sun is starting to shine, a true Love Island fan can’t help but wonder if a summer series is on the cards for 2023.

Is it possible that there’ll be the usual summer season so soon after the winter one?

Here’s what you need to know.

Will there be a summer Love Island in 2023?

All signs point to yes, it seems, for a summer Love Island series in 2023.

If the latest rumours are to be believed, then the 10th series of the hit ITV2 show will be back on TV in a matter of weeks – with a rumoured start date of Monday, June 5.

Since the first series in 2015, most summer seasons of Love Island have kicked off between June 3 and June 7 – often the first Monday in June.

Exceptions are series two in 2016, which began in late May, and series seven in 2021, which began in late June.

Love Island 2023 is expected to last for eight weeks – so if the start date above is correct, it could air until the very end of July this year.

Rumours are now swirling about potential contestants, including the daughter of a Coronation Street star.

Maya Jama will surely be back to host the show, after a successful debut during the winter series.

When did winter Love Island end?

Winter Love Island 2023 – or the ninth series of the show – started in January and ended in March 2023.

It was filmed in South Africa, rather than Mallorca, and the final aired on March 13.

Fan favourite couple Kai and Sanam won the public vote and the cash prize.

In runner-up position were Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, and their fellow finalists were Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, and Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga.
